CSA California began in 1985 when a small group of dedicated students formed a nonprofit to share Roy Eugene Davis's teachings. Guided by his example as a direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda, they sponsored seminars where he personally taught classical Kriya Yoga practices and clear, practical spiritual philosophy.
In 2011 a new board developed the retreat facility in Placerville, creating a quiet residential environment for meditation, Kriya Yoga study, Ayurveda, and yogic lifestyle training. Guided by nonprofit values, we began shaping programs that could increasingly be offered through donations so finances would not hinder sincere seekers.
After Roy Eugene Davis's passing in 2019, CSA California stepped more fully into service, promoting CSA Ministers' classes and guiding retreats at Infinite Life Retreat. We continue to honor the lineage of Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Sri Yukteswar, Paramahansa Yogananda, and Roy Eugene Davis, welcoming sincere students into living practice.
